Project Details

Future Energy Networks delivered a new high-voltage point of connection and substation installation for two commercial units at the former Royton Old Gas Works site.

Our works included the supply and installation of a new 500kVA GRP package substation on a prefabricated concrete base. We also installed the associated switchgear and completed all required testing and commissioning.

The project required close coordination between the civils, high-voltage installation and commissioning teams to ensure the new infrastructure was installed safely and capable of meeting the development’s electricity requirements. The complete high-voltage infrastructure was successfully delivered within six months from placement of order.
